Already answered this in the first posts. You get drops in the eyes that take away pain (and every other feeling btw).

Not needed. His hands are disinfected with adequate chemicals and gloves’ interior contains talk powder that could get into the flap… So it’s way better off without them and with clean hands (which he had).

Under the device there is nothing to see but a light in the darkness. You are simply not tempted at all any more.
I feared the same like you but when you’re in the seat there is no problem any more.
Do not worry about the acid feeling. You get painkilling drops that take away every possible feeling from the eyes.
