not really in some cases only 20/40 or in rare cases you can be blinded when they accidentally destroy the flap which needs to be lifted for surgery.20/40 is barely enough to drive a car and you might just need that surgery because they put a lens back on the eye after if you watched the video…

16 is too early (get a car, not eye surgery). Most eyes continue to change slightly into your early 20′s. If your prescription has been stable for a few years, you might be good to go, but odds the doc won’t let you anyway.
PRK does not hurt at all during the procedure, but the recovery means dry / irritated eyes for several days to a few weeks, and you won’t have stable vision for up to a few months.
Talk to an ophthalmologist. Youtube comments are often way too stupid to be used as advice.

I want this surgery when i turn 21 but I’ve also heard that some patients actually need retreatment or 2-3 more surgeries. I hope they perfect this surgery when I turn that age, but if they dont by then I’ll take the risk.

they put oxygenated fluids on your eye… as you would see if you were watching…. the purpose of bliinking is to moisten your eye so it can oxygenate. and this liquid effectively does the blinking for you
