Does any one know anything about LASIK surgery?
I had glasses and now i have contacs but ive been having trouble putting them in so i was considering LASIK. I am near-sighted, and i was wondering where to get it done, who to get it done by, how old you have to be, and the price! I live in dc, and im looking for a place in the area (dc, va, md) Thanks!
First thing first. Do your research concerning doctors. Consult with several doctors, visit their offices, etc. Then pick a doctor based on that.
Most doctors will not do LASIK surgery before the age of 18 because your vision needs to be stable and unchanging for at least 3 months before they will consider surgery.
I had LASIK done about a year and a half ago and the total cost was $3900 (which included consult, surgery and any doctors visits after up to a year). You can finance it which is what I did and I have a very reasonable payment of $123 a month.
Getting LASIK was the best decision I ever made. I went from being almost legally blind to having 20/15 vision.

Well. over 21 is good but if your younger, it can be done but the chances are that you would have to get it done again cause your eye’s keep growing up to that age.

I am going to Dr, Joseph Y Lee, he is the founder of Lasik Eye Center. there are a Lot of Doctors today you Can check them our if you want to. also there is this famous Dr, he is the hollywood people Dr, his name is Assik google him, he has his office in Beverly Hills, really expensive Dr.

Look Nikki …. i do have an opinion here ….LASIK surgery works good …. but any surgery in the world isn’t 100% safe …. there is a small risk in every surgery even if it was 0.01% risk .
In many surgerys, the risk is failing in applying the surgery and they will do it another time…. but in LASIK, your eyes may become worse ….
So that is a surgery even if it is 99.99% safe … what if the 0.01 % happened ?
That’s my opinion ….
For your Knowledge, i was concerned about LASIK and i wanted to make it but i thought of what i have told u above and i said contacts wouldn’t harm…. i learned how to handle them well and now , i use them easily and very quickly…. Bye
